Apple-Cranberry Relish
Apple-Cranberry Relish is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. sugar, 1 c. water, 1 tbsp. orange rind, finely chopped, 2 granny smith apples, chopped and 1 (12 oz.) pkg. cranberries, coarsely chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Combine sugar, water and orange rind in heavy saucepan and bring to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer until clear (about 2 minutes).
Add apple and cook 5 minutes.
Add cranberries and spices.
Simmer 7 to 8 minutes.
Stir in raisins.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Refrigerate overnight.
