Combine meat, onion, crumbs, seasonings, eggs and milk.
Mix with a fork.
Shape into 48 small balls.
Brown a few at a time in shortening.
Drain off all fat from pan.
Return meat balls.

Remove with a slotted spoon.
Keep hot.
