Ann's Marinara Sauce
Ann'S Marinara Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 large (28 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes, 2 small (6 oz.) cans tomato paste, 1 large onion, minced, 3 large cloves garlic, minced and 1/2 c. chopped fresh parsley, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

In a 4-quart saucepan, combine onion, garlic and parsley; saute in olive oil for 2 or 3 minutes.
Do not brown.
Add tomatoes, paste, water, sugar, basil leaves, salt and pepper. Bring to a slow boil, then lower heat and simmer for 1/2 hour over low heat.
Makes 3 quarts.
May be frozen in plastic containers.
