Amaretto-Chocolate Sauce
Amaretto-Chocolate Sauce is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. whipping cream, 1/3 c. sugar, 2 (4 oz.) bittersweet chocolate bars, chopped, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine and 3 to 4 tbsp. amaretto, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine egg yolks, sugar and butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat.
Stir until well blended.
Add cream, bourbon and vanilla.
Bring mixture just to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; stir in pecans.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
Reheat to serve over slices of pound cake.
