Almond Caramels
Almond Caramels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. granulated sugar, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. light corn syrup, 1 1/2 c. light cream and 4 tbsp. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Spread bottom and sides of 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan with butter or margarine.
In 2-quart saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, light cream and 4 tablespoons of butter or margarine.
Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, to firm ball stage (248Β°).
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and almonds. Turn into prepared pan; cool.
Cut into squares.
Wrap each. Makes 3 dozen.
