Almond Butter Crunch
Almond Butter Crunch is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1-1/3 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. light corn syrup, 1 c. almonds, toasted and coarsely chopped and 4 (4-1/2 oz.) milk chocolate bars, melted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Melt butter in heavy 2 quart saucepan.
Add sugar, syrup and water.
Stir often and cook to hard crack stage (300Β°).
Quickly stir in chopped nuts and spread in well greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan.
Cool and turn out on wax paper.
Spread with half the chocolate and sprinkle with half the finely chopped almonds. Cover with wax paper, invert and repeat chocolate and nuts.
Chill to firm and break.
Be sure to watch carefully after 260 degrees. You may use toasted pecans instead of almonds.
