Almond Bars (Dunking Type)
Almond Bars (Dunking Type) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 eggs, 1/2 c. vegetable oil, 1 c. white sugar, 1 c. brown sugar and 1 lb. (16 oz.) almond pieces, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Beat eggs, sugar and oil thoroughly.
Add all dry ingredients and mix well.
Add almonds last.
If almonds don't stick to dough, add a little water.
Form 3 balls.
Roll the balls into long strips to fit cookie sheet.
Place on greased and floured cookie sheet.
Brush each strip with egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water).
Bake in 375Β° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cool about 10 minutes.
Cut cookies at an angle.
Don't toast them. This is an excellent cookie that you will make often.
