3 Hour Bread
3 Hour Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. margarine, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 1/2 c. scalded water or 2 c. scalded milk and 2 pkg. dry yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Put margarine, sugar and salt in mixing bowl.
Pour scalding water or milk over this and add 1 cup flour.
When slightly cooled, add yeast dissolved in water.
Add 3 cups flour, eggs and powdered milk.
Mix well.
Add 2 1/2 to 3 cups flour and mix well.
Turn out on floured cloth and let rest 10 minutes.
Knead for 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl, cover and let rise 30 minutes.
Turn over in bowl and let rise 30 more minutes.
Shape into loaves and let rise 20 minutes.
Bake for 25 minutes at 425Β°.
