Zucchini-Hamburger Pie
Zucchini-Hamburger Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with pastry crust, 1/2 lb. hamburger, 1 tbsp. onion, minced, 1 tsp. parsley, chopped and 1/2 tsp. garlic salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Brown hamburger with onion and dry seasonings.
Add bread crumbs, cheese and green pepper.
Line a large, deep pie pan with pastry crust.
Layer one-half of the zucchini in the pie shell. Top the zucchini layer with one-half of the meat mixture.
Repeat these layers using the rest of the zucchini and meat.
Top with tomato slices, adding a bit of tomato juice if the tomatoes are not juicy and ripe.
(You may also use canned tomatoes, whole or sliced.)
Cover with pastry, cut small hole in center of crust and dust with pepper.
Bake one hour at 350Β°.
