Yeast Bread
Yeast Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/4 c. plain flour, 1 tsp. salt, 4 1/2 tsp. sugar, 1 pkg. dry yeast and 4 1/2 tsp. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Sift flour, salt and sugar together.
Then add dry yeast. Melt butter and add water and milk to melted butter.
The water and milk need to be lukewarm.
Mix together liquid and dry mixture.
Let set for approximately 1 1/2 hours in greased pan to rise.
After this rises, make dough into a loaf or in rolls. Knead well before you shape your loaf or rolls.
Put this in a greased pan and let rise again to desired size.
Bake at 325° to 350° for 30 minutes.
