Yeast Bread
Yeast Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. crisco, 1 1/4 c. warm water and 3 1/2 c. flour, divided (2 c. and 1 1/2 c.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Flour with the other dry ingredients, including yeast.
Crisco in the warm water and add this mixture to the dry ingredients.
Beat at medium speed on the mixer for 2 minutes.
Add the remaining flour and mix with a wooden thoroughly blended.
Turn out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth.
Grease 2 large loaf pans and form dough into 2 loaves.
Brush the top of each loaf with melted butter. and set in a warm place to rise. Bake at 350Β° for about 45 minutes.
Remove from pans and brush all over with melted butter.
