Yeast Biscuits
Yeast Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 2 tbsp. warm water, 4 tbsp. sugar, 3 tsp. baking powder and 1 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Sift all dry ingredients together in large bowl.
Cut in shortening.
Mix buttermilk and dissolved yeast.
Add buttermilk and yeast to flour mixture.
Stir until flour is damp.
Knead on floured board 2 to 3 minutes.
Store in refrigerator in covered bowl.
Roll out like biscuits.
Bake at 400Β°; do not let rise.
Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
