Yeast Biscuits
Yeast Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 5 to 6 c. self-rising flour, 1/4 c. sugar, 1 c. shortening, 2 c. buttermilk and 1 or 2 pkg. dry yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix ingredients except yeast.
Sprinkle yeast in mixture last. Work up like you do biscuits.
Roll out the amount you need and cut as biscuits.
Bake at 450Β°.
Place remaining dough in tightly closed large bowl (dough will continue to to rise).
Place in refrigerator and pinch off amount of dough needed when you want more biscuits.
Biscuits do not need to rise before baking, will rise as they bake.
