Wonderful Custard
Wonderful Custard is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 to 6 eggs, 1/3 c. sugar, maple syrup or honey, 1 tsp. vanilla, nutmeg (if desired) and 1 qt. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Heat the milk, sweetening and salt.
Stir the hot milk slowly into the lightly beaten eggs.
Add vanilla.
Pour the mixture into custard cups.
Bake in a moderate oven (350Β°) in pan of water (1-inch).
Bake until the custards are set or when the blade of a knife comes out clean.
Remove from hot water immediately.
Serve hot or cold.
