Wilted Spinach Salad
Wilted Spinach Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 c. torn fresh spinach or leaf lettuce (10 oz.), pepper, 3 slices bacon, 1 tbsp. white wine vinegar and 2 tsp. lemon juice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Place torn spinach or lettuce in a large bowl; add the sliced green onion.
Sprinkle a generous amount of pepper over the torn greens.
Cut uncooked bacon into small pieces.
In a 12-inch skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
Do not drain off drippings.
Stir in vinegar, lemon juice, sugar and salt.
Remove skillet from heat; add torn spinach or lettuce and green onion.
Toss gently until well coated.
Turn into a serving dish.
Top with the chopped hard-cooked egg; serve immediately.
