Preheat oven 350°; grease muffin tin and set aside. Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt.
Mix together oil, beaten egg, milk, syrup and oats.
Stir into dry mixture until moistened; do not overmix.
Fold in floured blueberries; fill greased muffin tin 2/3 full and sprinkle tops with a little granulated sugar.
Bake at 350° for 25 - 30 minutes.
Makes 12 muffins.
