Whole Wheat Bread
Whole Wheat Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast, 1 c. warm water, 1 tbsp. brown sugar, 1 c. milk, scalded and 2 tbsp. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Dissolve yeast in warm water with brown sugar.
Beat milk, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, salt, fat and whole wheat flour.
Add enough white flour to make a satiny dough.
Cover with wax paper and thin towel; let double in bulk.
Knead down; let rise again and put in loaves (2 loaves).
Bake at 375Β° for 40 minutes.
By adding 1 egg, more brown sugar, raisins and cinnamon or dates, you can change this into a very delicious quick bread.
Also can be iced.
