Combine flour, soda and salt; stir well and set aside.
Combine butter and sugar; cream mixture until light and fluffy.
Add egg and mix well.
Combine bananas and buttermilk; add to creamed mixture.
Alternate with dry ingredients.
Mix in chopped pecans.
Stir until combined.
Pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 50 minutes or until bread tests done.
Cool 10 minutes in pan; remove to wire rack and cool completely.
