White Layer Cake
White Layer Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine, softened, 2 c. sugar, 3 c. sifted cake flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder and 1 c. low-fat milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream margarine and sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
Combine flour and baking powder in bowl; mix well.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
Add salt, vanilla and lemon extract; beat well.
Fold in egg whites gently.
Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
Bake at 375Β° for 25 to 30 minutes or until layers test done.
Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Top with favorite icing, fruit or strawberries.
