Chocolate in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil.
Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate melts. Combine cream cheese and sugar; beat at medium speed until smooth.
Add chocolate and vanilla, beating well. Stir in chopped pecans or walnuts.
Chocolate mixture into a lightly greased 8-inch square pan. Chill until firm. Cut into squares.
Top each piece pecan half, pressing gently. Store in refrigerator. Yield
