Western Beef Casserole
Western Beef Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground beef, 1/3 c. chopped onion, 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, 1/4 tsp. each: garlic powder, salt and pepper and 1 (11 oz.) can corn, drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion; drain well. Add tomato sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper; blend well. Spoon into a 2 1/2 to 3-quart lightly greased casserole.
Spoon corn evenly over meat mixture.
Stir green chilies into potatoes and spread over corn.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly around edges. Let stand for 5 minutes.
Top with chopped tomatoes.
