Cook (fry) bacon or ham.

Add onions and saute until lightly browned.

Add potatoes, tomatoes, salt, pepper and water; simmer for 1 hour.

Add corn and cook 15 minutes.

Melt margarine; add flour and blend.

Add hot milk or nondairy creamer.

Stir until smooth.

Add margarine, flour and milk mixture to ingredients. Bring to scalding point, but do not boil.

Makes 10 servings.
