Walnut Roast
Walnut Roast is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 28 minutes. Made with c. whole wheat bread crumbs, c. walnuts, chopped, c. cooked brown rice, onion, chopped and celery, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Saute chopped vegetables with sage, salt and soy sauce in 1/4 cup water.
Blend flour and sunflower seeds with 2 cups water. Add to sauteed vegetables and simmer a few minutes.
Place in bowl bread crumbs, walnuts and brown rice.
Add sauteed vegetables and sunflower mixture.
Mix well.
Pour into casserole dish and bake at 350Β° for 45 to 60 minutes, until well browned.
Serve with Chicken-like or Cashew Gravy.
Serves 8 to 10.
