Waldorf Salad
Waldorf Salad is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in about 1 hour. Made with ripe apples, . lemon juice, c. chopped celery, to 1/2 c. chopped walnuts and c. mayonnaise, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cut apples after coring and paring, if skins are tough, into fairly large pieces.
Some apples, like Cortlands, do not darken as quickly when cut for a salad.
Add lemon juice, chopped celery and walnuts; toss to mix.
Chill.
Mix with mayonnaise for serving on a bed of lettuce.
Chopped candied ginger also may be added to the salad.
