Vietnamese Fried Rice
Vietnamese Fried Rice is an moderately easy Chinese dinner you can prepare in about 2 hours 20 minutes. Made with c. rice, . pork, . shrimp, . frozen peas and small onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Wash the rice.
Cook rice in 3 cups water.
Chop onion and cook in frypan containing 1 tablespoon oil.
Place small pieces of pork in oil.
After seasoning with salt, pepper and sugar, fry for minutes. Remove pork and cook shrimp in same manner for only 5 minutes.
Remove shrimp from pan.
Cook peas.
Use another skillet to fry the cooked rice in 1 tablespoon of oil. Add pork, shrimp and peas to fried rice and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes.
You may add a pinch of Accent, if desired. Yellow food coloring may be added at the time rice is being cooked to add a more appetizing color.
