Vegetable-Herb Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (1 lb.) loaf frozen prepared bread dough, thawed, 3 plum tomatoes, thinly sliced (about 1/2 lb.), 1 small bunch fresh sage leaves (about 1/4 c.), 1/2 small red onion, cut in thin wedges and 2 tbsp. olive or vegetable oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 450Β°.
Roll bread dough into 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch rectangle.
Place in jelly roll pan.
With fingertips, firmly press into dough at 1-inch intervals.
Arrange tomato slices, fresh sage leaves and onion wedges on top of bread dough. Sprinkle with oil over vegetables.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until browned and crisp.
