Uncle Eddie's Favorite Sugar Cookies
Uncle Eddie'S Favorite Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 3 eggs and 3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream the butter and vanilla.
Add sugar gradually, creaming until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add gradually to creamed mixture.
Chill thoroughly (at least 3 hours).
Roll on a well floured surface to 1/8 to 1/4 inch.
Cut in desired shapes.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 6 to 8 minutes.
Cool slightly on cookie sheet; remove to rack to finish cooling.
