Combine the first 4 ingredients.
Mix until creamy.
Add egg and mix with first mixture.
Combine next 3 ingredients; mix well, then mix with first mixture.
Stir in chips and pecans.
Drop by teaspoon 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for about 8 to 10 minutes; do not overbake.
This makes chewy cookies.
