Turtle Bars
Turtle Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 14 oz. bag caramels, 1/2 stick butter, 1/2 c. evaporated milk, 1 box german chocolate cake and 1 1/2 sticks butter, melted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mix on high for 2 minutes the cake mix, butter and milk.
Put half cake batter in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 8 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes.
Spread caramel on cake.
Sprinkle with 1 cup or desired amount of chocolate chips and nuts.
Pour on remaining cake batter.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
(Cake will not test done.)
Cool and frost with fudge icing.
