Turkey Pie
Turkey Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. celery, diced, 1 c. carrots, diced, 1/2 c. water, 1/2 tsp. salt and 4 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cook carrots and celery together in boiling salted water 15 minutes; drain, reserve liquid for gravy.
Blend flour, salt and fat; stir into hot liquid.
Cook and stir constantly until thickened.
Combine gravy, vegetables, and turkey.
Place in greased baking pan.
Bake 30 minutes at 425°.
Remove from oven. Top with biscuits.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 450°.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
