Trick or Treat Caramel Corn
Trick Or Treat Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 16 c. plain popcorn, 5 c. miniature pretzels, 2 c. packed brown sugar, 1 c. butter and 1/2 c. dark corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In large pan, mix popcorn and pretzels; set aside.
Over medium heat, cook brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt, stirring until mixture comes to a full boil (12 to 14 minutes). Continue cooking and stirring, until small amount of mixture dropped in ice water forms a soft ball.
Remove from heat and stir in baking soda.
Pour over popcorn and pretzels.
Sprinkle peanuts over caramel mixture and stir until all popcorn is coated.
Bake 20 minutes in oven at 200Β°.
Continue baking for 20 minutes.
Stir in M&M's and candy corn; continue baking for 5 minutes.
Immediately spread on waxed paper to cool.
Store in tightly covered container.
Makes 26 cups.
