Top of the Stove Rice Pudding
Top Of The Stove Rice Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. milk, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/3 c. uncooked rice, pinch of salt and 2 egg whites or 1 whole egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Combine first 4 ingredients.
Cook slowly until rice is tender.
Beat egg or egg whites in water with whisk.
Add vanilla to egg and water mixture.
Add mixture to rice.
If using whole egg, add some of the hot rice mixture to egg and water so as not to have the egg separate when added to rice.
Cook for 2 more minutes.
Pour into bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon.
This will thicken more when refrigerated.
