Tomato Soup
Tomato Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tsp. finely chopped onion, 2 tbsp. margarine, 3 tbsp. flour, 2 tsp. sugar and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Brown onion in margarine.
Stir in flour, salt, sugar and pepper.
Cook until smooth and bubbly, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Gradually stir in 2 cups tomato juice or canned tomatoes.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly and boil for 1 minute.
Add 2 cups cold whole milk, all at once. Heat rapidly serving temperature, stirring constantly. Serve at once.
