Tiramisu
Tiramisu is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 egg yolks, 3/4 c. sugar, 8 oz. sweet wine, 1 lb. mascarpone cheese or cream cheese and 10 oz. ladyfingers or sponge cake, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix egg yolks, sugar and wine in a bowl.
Cook this mixture in a double boiler for 3 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Now mix the Mascarpone cheese with the egg mixture until smooth.
(You can add some of the coffee to help it become thinner.)
Quickly dip the ladyfingers in the Espresso and one by one place them uniformly in a casserole dish.
Spread a layer of cheese mixture on top of ladyfingers.
Add another layer of ladyfingers on top of cheese mixture, then add another layer of cheese mixture.
Repeat process. End with last layer being the cheese mixture and refrigerate for 3 hours.
Sprinkle with cocoa powder and serve.
