Tin Plate Special
Tin Plate Special is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. bag dry pinto beans, 6 lb. beef rump roast, 1 tbsp. butter, 1 c. banana pepper and green pepper, chopped and 2 sliced onions, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cover with cold water and soak overnight.
Bring beans to a boil and cook 1 hour.
Drain and discard water.
Brown roast in butter in a large Dutch oven.
Add peppers and onions and cook until tender.
Add beans and remaining ingredients.
Cover and bake at 350Β° for 3 hours or longer.
Check at 3 hours to see if beans are tender and meat is done.
