Thumbprint Cookies-Pecan
Thumbprint Cookies-Pecan is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. crisco, 1 c. brown sugar, packed, 4 egg yolks, reserve whites and 4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix all ingredients together except nuts and egg whites.
Roll dough in balls (sz walnuts).
Whip egg whites slightly with a fork. Dip dough balls in whites and roll in pecans.
Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet at 375Β° for 5 minutes; remove from oven and press center of cookie with melon baller, return to oven and bake 5 to 8 minutes more or until done.
Cool and ice with powdered sugar icing.
