Three Week Cole Slaw
Three Week Cole Slaw is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. white cabbage, shredded, 2 white onions, chopped fine, 1 1/4 c. sugar, 1 c. yellow vinegar and 1 tbsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine cabbage, pepper, onions, carrots and sugar in large bowl; mix well.
Mix the oil, vinegar, celery seed and salt in saucepan.
Bring to a boil; pour over cabbage mixture.
Stir until very well mixed.
Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Let stand 3 days.
Flavor improves the longer it stands.
Will keep for a month in refrigerator.
