Made with 1 pkg. yellow cake mix, 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (in juice), 3/4 c. sugar, 2 (3 1/2 oz. each) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix and 3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In a 13 x 9-inch pan, bake cake (package directions).
In a medium saucepan combine pineapple with juice and sugar; cook over medium heat until thick and syrupy, about 20 minutes.
When cake is done, pierce top with fork about 1 inch apart.
Pour on pineapple mixture and spread evenly on cake.
Cool completely.
