The Best Cake You Ever Ate is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 sticks margarine, 2 c. sugar, 4 large eggs, 2 c. plain flour and 1 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Soften margarine and cream with sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time; beat well after each addition.
Add 1 cup flour and baking powder; mix well.
Add milk.
Add rest of flour; mix well.
Add vanilla.
Beat on medium for 2 more minutes.
Pour into 2 greased and floured (I use Baker's Joy) 8-inch round pans or a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
Good by itself, with fruit topping or your favorite icing.
Serves 12.
