Teatime Tassies
Teatime Tassies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (3 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese, 1/2 c. soft margarine or butter, 1 c. sifted flour, 1 egg, slightly beaten and 3/4 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix together the softened cream cheese and margarine.
Stir in flour.
Chill 1 hour.
Shape into 1-inch balls; press in small muffin cups.
Beat together the egg, brown sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, vanilla and salt.
Mix in half of pecans.
Place 1 teaspoon of mixture in cups.
Sprinkle with rest of pecans.
Bake for 25 minutes at 325Β°.
Makes 24.
