Tea Cakes
Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 3/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually blend in dry ingredients.
Chill 3 hours.
Roll out and cut cookies on a floured surface; thick if you like soft cookies, thin if you like crisp cookies.
Sprinkle sugar on top if you like.
Bake at 350Β° for 8 to 10 minutes.
These are great for decorating with "decorator icing".
