Tanya'S Loaf Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 c. warm water, 2 tbsp. salt, 6 tbsp. sugar, 2 tbsp. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water and 2 tbsp. melted shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Add flour to other ingredients a cup at a time.
Blend all ingredients with a mixer until dough crawls up the beaters.
Work in the rest of the flour by hand.
Work in just enough flour to make a good dough.
Let rise in a greased pan until double in size.
Place in 5 greased loaf pans and let rise until double.
Bake at 325Β°. If using small loaf pans, bake for 45 minutes.
Bake in large loaf pans for 55 minutes.
