Sydney's Favorite Apple Pie
Sydney'S Favorite Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 10 tart apples, pared, cored, peeled and sliced (granny smith are great!) and 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Combine first 3 ingredients; stir into apples.
Turn into pastry shell.
Combine remaining flour and sugar and cut into butter until crumbly.
Sprinkle over apples.
Bake at 400Β° for 45 to 50 minutes or until done.
If the pie browns too quickly, cover the edges with foil.
