Swiss Steak with Red Gravy
Swiss Steak With Red Gravy is an easy dinner. Made with 1 large round steak or chuck steak or roast, 1 large onion, sliced, 3 tbsp. oil, 2 to 3 cans tomato soup and salt and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Saute onion slices in oil in large skillet.
Remove onions and brown steak in same oil.
Drain.
Add onions back to pan and cover with tomato soup, salt and pepper.
Simmer for 1 to 2 hours until tender.
Stir occasionally to keep from sticking.
Tomato soup becomes the gravy when meat is removed.
