Swiss Steak
Swiss Steak is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 20 minutes. Made with (4 oz.) minute steaks, tenderized, . cooking oil, medium onion, chopped, fresh, medium green pepper and (1 lb.) cans canned tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Saute onion and pepper in hot fat.
Remove from skillet. Brown steaks slightly; salt and pepper to taste.
Place steaks in casserole pan in single layer, if possible.
Mash canned tomatoes; add sugar.
Mix in onion and pepper.
Spoon vegetables over steak.
Bake covered for 1 hour at 300Β°.
