Swiss Steak
Swiss Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. flour, 2 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper, 2 lb. round steak (1-inch thick) and 2 tbsp. wesson oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix flour, salt and pepper.
Pound into both sides of meat. Heat Wesson oil in a large heavy frypan.
Brown meat slowly, about 10 minutes, on each side.
Remove meat from frypan. Cook onions in oil until golden. Stir in remaining flour from dredging meat.
Add water and tomatoes; cook, stirring, until boiling. Return meat to frypan. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours until very tender.
Serve on hot platter, pouring gravy over meat.
Makes 4 or 5 servings.
