Swiss Birchermusli
Swiss Birchermusli is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. oatmeal flakes, uncooked, 1 plate berries or other fruit, 1 c. milk and 2 to 3 tsp. sugar, condensed milk or honey, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Pour the oatmeal and milk in a bowl 1 hour or so before the meal.
Put in the refrigerator.
Before the dish is served, add the berries and/or fruit of any kind, cooked or raw.
We grate apples and cut up bananas as well as the fruits and berries in season for our musli.
Mix all together with the sugar, oats and milk.
Try adding yogurt or juice from half of a lemon.
Good served for supper with coffee or hot tea, fresh baked bread and butter.
Serve in cereal bowls and eat with your spoon.
