Sweet-Sour Pork Roast
Sweet-Sour Pork Roast is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (3 1/2 to 4 lb.) pork roast, salt, pepper to taste, 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce and 1/2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Sprinkle the pork roast with salt and pepper to taste; place in a baking pan.
Roast at 325Β° for 1 hour; pour off excess fat. Combine the tomato sauce, lemon juice, water, grated rind, 1/2 teaspoon salt, brown sugar and nutmeg in a saucepan.
Drain the pineapple chunks; pour over the roast.
Roast for about 2 hours, basting occasionally and adding water, if needed.
