Mix all ingredients, except pie crust shells, with mixer.
Put in pie crust shells.
Sprinkle generously with cinnamon or nutmeg. Bake at 425° for the first 15 minutes; reduce heat to 375° and bake 25 minutes more.
Total baking time is 40 minutes.
Yields two (9-inch) pies.
