Sweet Potato Pie
Sweet Potato Pie is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 2 hours 6 minutes. Made with uncooked pie shell (bottom crust only), c. mashed, cooked sweet potatoes, c. margarine, softened, egg yolks and c. packed brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mix first ingredients, starting with sweet potatoes in mixing bowl.
Add milk.
Fold beaten sweetened egg whites. Pour into pie shell.
Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and continue to bake until center is firm, approximately 40 minutes.
Nutmeg and sugar may be sprinkled on top of pie before baking, if desired.
